It was great to see everyone at the New Years Eve do, what a great way to bring in 2009! Let’s hope it becomes a New Year tradition.
2008 may well be over but Liverpool is still officially Capital of Culture until the mantle is handed over to Vilnius in Lithuania. And what better way to do it than a city-wide party when venues will host events including exhibitions, performance, dance, music and that old favourite, fireworks!
We’ll be joining
The Wolstenholme Projects,
Mellowtone and The Beaten Tracks at Tate Liverpool on Saturday 10th January when they transform the 5th floor into a 1940s street party which will morph into an indoor 60s music festival in the evening – grass and all! It’ll be a chance to catch the very best of Liverpool’s artistic talent and see art, music and theatre interact –all in the cosy warmth of the Tate.
We believe that 2009 will be an amazing year for art and culture in Liverpool and are looking forward to get stuck in right from the beginning. 2008 may well have helped establish Liverpool as ‘the centre of the creative universe’; we want to make sure it stays that way!
So, grab your sparkerlies, beely-boppers and tie-dye sarongs and get set for some cultural chillin n lovin 60s style!
The day starts around 2pm but culturepool will be there from 6.30. As always, give us a call or drop us an email if you want some further info.
