The exhibition is FREE. Just pop along at 11am to enjoy.
Liverpool through the Lens is an exhibition of images taken by Irish born photographer Edward Chambré Hardman showing Liverpool people, places and influences. Hardman made Liverpool his adopted home and left the city an extraordinary visual legacy, some of which will be included in this show at The Victoria Gallery & Museum on Brownlow Hill/Ashton Street.
We’ve arranged for a DVD screening about Hardman in the Leggate Lecture Theatre before taking a guided tour of the exhibition and stunning building, all especially for culturepool! We’ll then have a chance to catch up for a chat in the Waterhouse Café on the ground floor. Also on display is the Stuart Sutcliffe Retrospective showing the works of 'Fifth Beatle' and a range of eclectic artefacts in the rest of the museum (including the plushest dentist set up you’ll ever see!).
As it’s the final day of the show it will be your last chance to see the exhibition in this beautiful grade II listed Victorian building. This is a FREE event and there’s no need to book, just come along and meet us in the Victoria Museum & Gallery foyer on Saturday 31st January 2009 @ 11am.
For more info on this fabulous building and it’s amazing history take a look at their
website or further details on the exhibition
itself.
